I am so excited to introduce you to my favorite design blogger Lisa Mende.
Recently, she entered a contest sponsored by the High Pointe Terrace Furniture Market and sent me the “Olioboard” that she submitted. Of course it was completely awesome, and when I went to vote for her it was definitely the best design there… but I had know idea what I was looking at? A beautiful little animated model of the perfect room, but where did it come from?
I asked Lisa if she would explain to both you and me what Olioboard is and how we could use it! Lucky for us, she agreed:

What the Heck is OlioBoard?
Well, it is about the coolest thing since sliced bread or at least that is what I think! It’s kinda like playing dolls when you were a child, only there is no mess to clean up afterwards! LOL! No really, it is much, much more than that! As an interior designer, I use in my work to show clients, a visual of how their rooms will look with their furniture in place. Olioboard isn’t just for designers though, it’s for anyone who wants to create a 3-D visual of a room. It’s so user-friendly anyone can use it! There are over 150,000+ items from well known sources to chose from to build a room, or you can download your own choices from internet sites and create your own library. You can also take pictures of items you already own and upload them to use in your creation. It is so much fun!!! Some days I tell my kids I have a board to do for a client, when I actually just want to play! (But Don’t Tell Anyone!)
